Audio Engineering
I provide audio engineering services with close attention to detail, including pitch and timing correction, vocal and instrument comping, audio restoration, mix prep, clean-up, recording, mixing, mastering, ADR edits, and post-production support.
My deepest experience is in studio production, tracking, and waveform editing. I work in Pro Tools with professional tools including iZotope RX, Waves, Melodyne, Auto-Tune, and other production software, handling audio up to 24-bit / 96 kHz when needed.
As a musician and producer-artist, I understand the difference between tight and lifeless. My goal is to improve performances and clean up technical issues while preserving the human feel, emotion, and musical intent.
Mix Prep and Rhythm Editing
For multitrack sessions, I can trim, clean, fade, organize, label, reduce noise, correct timing issues, and prepare tracks for mixing. This is useful before sending a project to a mixer, starting your own mix, or rescuing a session that is messy but musically worth saving.
I specialize in musical timing correction, sometimes best described as human quantization. Whether working with acoustic drums, vocals, bass, guitars, live band recordings, or separate overdubs, I tighten performances while keeping the groove alive.
Vocal Tuning, Comping, and Cleanup
I can tune, comp, align, and clean vocal tracks by hand, preserving natural tone, phrasing, emotion, and breath. Melodyne, Auto-Tune, iZotope RX, and detailed waveform editing are used as needed, but the goal is always a polished vocal that still sounds human unless a modern stylized effect is requested.
Vocal work can include manual pitch correction, timing adjustments, seamless comping from multiple takes, breath and click cleanup, noise reduction, and ready-to-mix 24-bit WAV delivery.
Mixing, Mastering, Restoration, and Post
I have experience mixing and mastering full-length albums, singles, and demos across many styles. When a project calls for outside specialists, I can also collaborate with dedicated mastering or mix engineers while keeping the project organized and technically prepared.
Beyond music production, I can help with audio restoration, location sound cleanup for film and video, ADR editing, post-production mixing, dialogue replacement, and related sound work.
