Composer

Studio collage with instruments and recording equipment

My main composition work has been focused on Squanky Kong and other original music projects over the years. That background keeps my writing rooted in real songs, arrangements, performances, tones, and production choices instead of purely theoretical scoring.

I primarily focus on modern ensemble styles: rock band instrumentation, blues, jazz-influenced writing, funk, progressive and alternative textures, acoustic music, electronic sounds, ambient layers, and hybrid arrangements that combine live instruments with programmed or sound-designed elements.

While standalone original music is my main focus, I can also compose for film, TV, web, games, trailers, or other media formats. Whether you need a theme, dramatic cue, background atmosphere, transition, or music that supports visual storytelling, I can shape the work around the tone and purpose of the project.

Composition Strengths

  • Original songs, themes, cues, and instrumental pieces.
  • Modern ensemble writing for rock, blues, funk, jazz-influenced, acoustic, and hybrid styles.
  • Electronic textures, ambient beds, experimental layers, and sound-designed music.
  • Music shaped by recording, production, and arrangement experience.
  • Traditional scoring approaches available when the project calls for them.
  • Story-aware composition informed by screenwriting and producer experience.

Best Fit

This service is best suited for projects that need original music with personality: modern band-driven music, unusual textures, progressive or alternative ideas, atmospheric electronic work, or composition that benefits from a producer-artist perspective. I can work in more traditional scoring formats too, but my strongest voice is in original contemporary music and hybrid production.

Pricing

Composition pricing is project-based. A short theme, a song-style cue, a background bed, and a full media score all require different levels of writing, production, revision, and delivery. Send the project type, length, references, deadline, and budget range, and I can suggest a practical scope.
